tK on Quarta Voce

After two full-length digital-only self-releases on Bandcamp, and a cassingle on Wee Space Tapes, tK is finally ready for the big leagues: a full-length, pure gold cassette with Wrong Whole Archival Bureau. Four is our magic number.

There are three of us: Thalia Zedek of all the fames; Phil Milstein, who was manipulating sounds on stage with Thalia all the way back in the Uzi-80’s (and then doing a whole bunch more of this with other musical geniuses in the times between now and then); and Heather Kapplow, a total musical imposter who thinks this is a performance art project and hasn’t been corrected yet.

The instrumentation requires archeological skills to interpret fully, but we’ll offer clues: these sounds have been pulled from the sky, subterranean caverns, and multiple city bus lines. A guitar engages in call and response with a broken pocket’s worth of small change and someone is keeping time (sometimes.) Also, there is a fourth voice that no one can account for, emerging wraithlike from the audio refraction, then disappearing when focused on directly. We hope you’ll enjoy tracing its paths as much as we do...
