This is the final “luxury study” event intended as research for my project Pure Luxury, which I’m currently completing as a fellow at BilbaoArte in Bilbao, Spain. Since it’s my last time doing interviews and taking photos of people’s luxurious things, it’s also a celebration.

Heather Kapplow, an artist visiting BilbaoArte from the United States, invites you to contribute to her project about LUXURY on 30 October 2019 at 19:30.
Heather's artwork involves making sculptures and creating experiences about what luxury means to people in their daily lives.
For example, having access to BilbaoArte feels like a luxury to Heather because there are no places like this—places where anyone can go and learn to use tools and software and make things—in the United States. People can live without places like BilbaoArte, but it's very nice to have them! The images here are of luxuries that people have brought to events like this in Switzerland, Belarus and Denmark.
Is there something in your life that you don't absolutely need, but very much enjoy having?
If so, please come on 30 October 2019 at 19:30 and bring your luxurious thing with you. We will celebrate your personal luxurious item together with a toast, and Heather will photograph your object and interview you about it.

La gente puede vivir sin lugares como BilbaoArte, pero es muy agradable tenerlos! Las imágenes aquí son de lujos que la gente ha traído a eventos como éste en Suiza, Bielorrusia y Dinamarca.
¿Hay algo en tu vida que no necesitas absolutamente, pero que disfrutas mucho?
