The first of a limited edition run of custom designed “once in a lifetime” experiences. In this case, the experience was bought (in the form of a woodblock print on an envelope, containing a note and a URL,) at a fundraising auction. A personalized experience (a guided, blindfolded journey, via public transit, to experience three different bodies of water in Boston, MA, USA and eat cake,) was designed for the purchaser in response to her completion of a fairly abstract survey.
The purchaser never saw the person guiding her journey and the two do not know one another. The experience was delivered during the last week of the purchaser’s tenure living in Boston.
Special thanks to Paddle Boston for in-kind support and genuine enthusiasm for strange art projects.
