Come participate in an orgiastic, interactive project designed to test the following experimental premise: Do we feel alienated from local, regional and federal democratic processes because they fail to arouse us?

Civic Engorgement attempts to build more intimacy into our experience of The State by eroticizing the entire zone of things that we think of as civic or political. The hope is to invigorate our collective political passions. Or at the very least, to make politics seem dirty in a different way than usual...

YOU MADE IT! celebrates the exuberance of the Flux Factory community and the physicality of Flux Factory’s building, presenting work made by our 2013-2014 artists-in-residence. The show will consider the bodies and practices that fill Flux Factory; it will be as much about proxemics as about personalities and artwork. The artworks will be arranged according to the artists’ heights, and the installation of the show will change throughout the duration of the show, remaining in flux.

Opening and performances: Saturday May 3rd, 7pm +
